The Teacher's Academy began in a small town in Pennsylvania with a few teachers looking for a more convenient way to gain professional development hours.  The company was called, Act 48 Academy to specifically address the law requiring PA teachers to maintain professional development hours.

Soon, Act 48 Academy teachers were getting requests to provide professional development hours to teachers across the nation!

Since Act 48 only applies to PA teachers, The Teacher's Academy was created to address the demands of teachers across the USA.

Since then we have grown!  We are approved by education agencies across the nation.  We proudly support schools and institutions caring for people in need.  We are always excited to see our teachers at technology conferences!

We officially changed our name! As of May 2017 you can find on the PA DOE website as the approved provider: The Teacher's Academy.
