Act 48 Courses
Act 48 is a law set in place by Pennsylvania legislators that requires all educators to remain actively certified, meaning that they must complete ongoing professional educational development programs for every five years that they continue to teach. Act 48 states that in each five year period, teachers must earn 180 hours of these development hours, which must be deemed eligible by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
