Welcome, Virginia Teachers!

  • Virginia teachers need 180 Professional Development Points every 5 years for license renewal.
  • Courses fall under Option #8 “Professional Development Activities” of the Licensure Renewal Manual.
  • Teachers may take courses worth 5 hours or more.
  • Professional development hours/points are listed on Certificates of Completion. One 15 hour course = 15 renewal points or 1.5 CEUs.
