“The stand-out project in this lesson was the Student Grade Sheet. This project taught me how to do formulas & weights and also gives me a tool to use in the classroom. This activity will teach students the same skills I learned and give them the ability to track their own grades in my class and others.” – Diane T.
One of the most common uses of spreadsheets amongst teachers is the grade sheet. In this course, you will learn how to set up a spreadsheet for weighted grades. In other words, some of your assignments will carry a heavier “weight” than others. Advanced skills in this course include using the “SUMIF” formula and advanced data organization. Even if you currently do not work in a classroom setting, building a weighted grade sheet will sharpen your Excel skills and prepare you for future Excel projects. When finished this course, you will be able to enter, format and rotate text, format columns and rows, enter formulas, calculate averages, merge cells, copy formulas, and format cells with borders and colors. Earn Act 48 hours while growing your Excel skills!
